Anderson Springs

Anderson Springs became a popular resort in 1873. It was less than five miles from Middletown (closer than Harbin Hot Springs which had opened in 1867) and claimed it had "the only natural mineral steam bath" in Lake County. Anderson Springs continued as a popular vacation spot into the mid-twentieth century, but has since become a primarily residential area. Its history is fascinating.
